The support staff at Mattawan Animal Hospital wear many
hats ranging from front desk receptionist to veterinary
assistant/technician. We are here to serve our
doctors, clients and patients with the utmost care and
integrity. Our resolve is to see each and every
one of our companion animal friends to live a happy and
healthy life.
We understand the special
role your pet plays in your life.
Cathy
and Patches
Cathy enjoys the satisfaction of knowing that the veterinarians and staff of Mattawan Animal Hospital are
helping care for, treat and prevent medical issues.
She finds the human-pet bond truly amazing! Her
cat, Patches, has been a friend for over 17 years.
Working at MAH over many years - beginning as a
teenager, through her college years and up to today -
has demonstrated her love for the job. She cannot
imagine working anywhere else! As office manager,
she appreciates how every individual staff member works
together to create an energetic, fun and creative team
along with a "family" feel. Enjoys scrapbooking and reading.
Kristen,
Butterfly,
Fauna,and Bailey
Kristen can
never picture her life working
outside of the veterinary medicine field! Having a
part in the care and nursing of MAH's patients brings an
indescribable joy to her. With over five years
experience, pocket pets and elderly
companion animals hold a special place in her heart.
With her "four-legged children", Butterfly, Fauna, Bailey, 26 year old three-toed
box turtle, Fred, and several pet rats over the years,
she enjoys her own private little zoo at home. Enjoys gardening, reading, teaching tricks to her
pet rats and making people laugh.
Paula,
Gus and Junior
Paula, having grown up
on a farm in Indiana, has always had a special affection
for animals. Why does she enjoy working with
animals? It's the look in their eyes. It
doesn't matter if it is a gaze resulting from helping
them get better or just loving them. The look is
truly "human-like". If she could, she'd adopt all
her co-workers! She's never worked in such a tight
knit atmosphere where everyone cares for each other as
they do at MAH.
Her "boys", eight year old Junior, and four year old
Gus, are her pride and joy.
Enjoys
scrapbooking and traveling.
Sally
and Micalli
Sally, with her
infectious laugh, enjoys interacting with Mattawan
Animal Hospital's clients, patients and co-workers. She is a
self-proclaimed "dog person" and owns four year old Micalli. In the near future, she would like to
pursue a career in Nursing. She also owns a dog
sitting business. Enjoys jet skiing, waterskiing, traveling and
shopping.
Becky
and Lilly
Becky has nine years experience under her belt in
many facets of the veterinary medicine field. Her pets,
Roscoe, Lilly, Sophie, Hannah, along with two geckos and
twelve fish keep her very busy! She always looks
forward to working with all the "fury, huggable,
lovable" animals. She finds it very rewarding to
help sick animals become well again. Interacting
with MAH's many
wonderful clients make her day! Enjoys scrapbooking, bowling
with her husband, paintball and
playing with her children.
Erin,
Hershey, Peppy,
Cookie, Buzz
Erin is a recent
graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor's
degree in Veterinary Technology. From childhood
on, she has always had a special place in her heart for
animals. Currently, her pets include four dogs -
Hershey, Peppy, Cookie, Buzz, two cats - Nick and
Checkers, and Scamp, the chinchilla. Erin loves
her job, because every day she gets to meet client’s
adorable pets and help them stay healthy. Her
greatest satisfaction is getting to help sick animals
return to a healthy, happy state. This is one of
the reasons she chose to become a part of the veterinary
profession. Enjoys taking her dogs for walks,
reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Andrea
is ready to take
your call
Andrea is our
new receptionist! She has always been an animal
lover, so this position is a "perfect fit". At
home, Benelli, a black Lab,
and Goldie, a short-hair Tiger are all part of the
family. Interacting with and learning about all
the different kinds of animals is something she looks
forward to each and every day. For Andrea, MAH's
welcoming and friendly staff, as well as the wonderful
clients that walk thru our doors, have become like an
extended family. She looks forward to meeting all
of MAH's clients and their companion animals.
Enjoys collecting scale miniature doll house furniture
and "hauling" her kinds to all of their sports - Go
Redskins!
Abbi
Joe-Joe and Kay-Cee
Abbi is our newest
receptionist and an animal lover. Abbi is new to the
Mattawan area and attends Western Michigan University
for Special Education. She has always been a
receptionist in the medical field and has happily
converted her skills to the veterinary field. Abbi
couldn't be happier working with MAH's staff and animals
all day. She has grown up with dogs and cats her
whole life and now, with her fiancé, Justin, have two of
their own. Joe-Joe and Kay-Cee fill their lives with fun
and happiness. Abbi refers to her pets as her "babies",
and enjoys meeting all MAH's client's "babies" as well!
Enjoys spending time with family and friends, going
for walks with the dogs, traveling, jet skiing, and
shopping. |
